The trees have been around for around 3 million years, and, as you can see from these stunning images, there’s a reason for them to have survived this long.
No matter if they’re amid winds that are gale-force or on top of rocky platforms, tunnels of concrete, or emerging from each other. Trees can live in conditions that only living things can, which is the reason the earth is home to 3 trillion adults trees, which cover approximately 30% of earth’s surface.
Since plants create most of the oxygen we breathe, we must be highly grateful that trees are as strong and resilient as they do. We wouldn’t exist if they didn’t.
