In a world where healthcare is becoming more expensive by the day, access to dental care can be a luxury for many people. This is where Dr. Felipe Rossi comes in. This 40-year-old Brazilian dentist has made it his mission to provide free dental care to those who can’t afford it.
Dr. Rossi is the founder of Por1Sorriso, a non-profit organization that provides dental care to people in low-income communities and disadvantaged places, mainly in East Africa and Brazil. In the past three years, the organization has treated over 15,000 people with root canals, cleanings, and emergency medical treatment.

Por1Sorriso is mostly funded by donations from the general public, and Dr. Rossi and his team of 18 volunteers work tirelessly to provide vital dental care to those in need. Despite the hundreds of requests he receives every day, Dr. Rossi remains committed to his cause.
During an interview with the Daily Mail, Dr. Rossi expressed that his motivation for pursuing dentistry was not just to provide dental care but also to serve people. According to Dr. Rossi, transforming smiles out of pure love and without any commercial interest is a way of connecting with something greater.
