The teenager from Cincinnati, Ohio, was playing games on his phone with his younger sister Diamond while they waited for the school bus when Diamond noticed an elderly woman struggling to press the button at a crosswalk. Recognizing that the woman may be blind, Diamond urged her older brother to go and help her.
Without hesitation, Dontarius got up and approached the woman, asking if she needed assistance. She gratefully accepted and took his hand, allowing him to guide her safely across the street. As Dontarius helped the elderly woman, his sister stayed behind and waited for the school bus. Dontarius was caught on camera during the act of kindness and the image was shared on social media. In just 24 hours, thousands had seen it and praised the teen for his actions.

“I was just trying to help. I really didn’t think I would be on camera,” Dontarius told NBC’s WLWT5 News station.
