Just like the beloved Disney character Dumbo, some animals have big ears that make them stand out and become special. Recently, a baby goat named Simba from Karachi, Pakistan, has become a sensation on social media due to his extremely long ears that measure 54 cm or around 22 inches.
Simba’s owner, Mohammad Hasan Narejo, a goat breeder, shared that his goat has become a media sensation and even won a beauty contest in just a month after birth. Mohammad believes that Simba’s ears might be the longest in the world and has applied for a Guinness World Record, even though there is no official category for “Longest Goat Ears.”

However, the Guinness World Record has accepted Mohammad’s application and will send a team to measure Simba’s ears in Pakistan in the coming weeks. Although Guinness has categories for longest dog ears, rabbit ears, bat ears, and even human ear hair, Simba might set a new record for the longest goat ears.

Simba is now living a “pampered existence” in Karachi, where his owner takes spiritual measures, including reciting Koranic verses and blowing on him to cast away the evil eye. Mohammad has fastened a black thread fortified with Koranic verses around Simba, following a tradition inherited from his elders.

Simba’s unique feature has brought unprecedented attention not only to him but also to Pakistan. Mohammad hopes that Simba’s fame will continue to grow and that his Pakistan name will roam the whole world.
