Eleanor Love, a medical student at the Virginia Commonwealth University, came up with a beautiful idea of using fresh flowers to heal hospital patients. She noticed that a lot of fresh flowers were being used and left out after weddings and other events. So, she decided to gather these beautiful flowers and distribute them among the patients in hospitals.

Eleanor formed The Simple Sunflower by uniting people who volunteered to help her gather the flowers and give them to the patients. The crew who helped her includes some of her fellow colleagues, some employees of the university, some local people, and florists. Along with helping the patients to heal through flowers, she also managed to unite people and make their community better.

Research has shown that flowers can have a positive impact on a person’s mental health and well-being. Flowers can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression.
