Miracle Mid-Flight: Woman Delivers Baby Girl at 42,000 ft on Turkish Airlines

When Nafi Diaby went into labor mid-flight on a Turkish Airlines flight, it quickly became a unique and unforgettable experience for all on board. The cabin crew, led by flight attendant Bouthayna Inanir, sprang into action to assist the 28-week pregnant Diaby as her labor pains intensified.

Inanir initially thought that Diaby was experiencing a miscarriage but knew she had to help when she saw the baby. She had to quickly grab the baby and hand it over to Diaby. Despite the unexpected and high-pressure situation, the cabin crew made the most of the plane’s available seats to make the delivery as comfortable as possible for the mother and her newborn.

It is worth noting that most airlines allow women who are at least 28 weeks pregnant to travel up to 36 weeks with a doctor’s note stating they are fit to fly. However, it is rare for a woman to give birth on a flight, and the event has garnered international attention and praise for the mother, flight crew, and the baby.

This miraculous mid-flight delivery raises questions about the child’s nationality and has sparked curiosity about the details of the event. Regardless, one thing is for certain, this will be a flight that none of the passengers or crew will ever forget.
