The world has been smitten with Narwhal, the little “Amazing Furry Unicorn” puppy with a tail growing on his forehead. The rescue puppy was recently saved by Mac’s Mission, a Missouri-based dog rescue facility that specializes in providing care for dogs with special needs or rare health problems.

Narwhal was rescued in rural Missouri, a place where many dogs are often abandoned and left to fend for themselves. According to Mac’s Mission, he was found in terrible shape and required immediate medical attention. Fortunately, he was taken to a nearby vet who gave him a clean bill of health, except for a few easy-to-treat worms common in rescue puppies.

Curious about his unusual birth defect, the vet even conducted X-rays on Narwhal to understand the nature of his condition. It was revealed that the extra tail was not connected to anything and posed no threat to his health. In fact, Narwhal seems to be in remarkably good health and is a happy and active puppy.

“The unicorn face tail does not bother Narwhal, and he never slows down just like any normal puppy,” said Mac’s Mission in a Facebook post. “The extra tail is not connected to anything and has no real use other than making him the COOLEST PUPPY EVER.”
