A group of youngsters on vacation with their family on the St. Lawrence River in Canada made a heroic act by saving a newborn beluga whale washed ashore. The boys, led by 15-year-old Nicholas Milliard and his younger brothers, spotted the stranded whale while enjoying the beach. They immediately knew they had to do something to help the poor baby whale.
The boys sprang into action, pouring water over the whale’s body every five minutes to keep it moist. They also dug a hole to collect water, which helped to hydrate the whale’s body. Despite their young age, the boys showed great care and responsibility in caring for the stranded whale.

The team arrived and, with the boys’ help, successfully returned the whale to the sea, a little beyond the shore.
